Hello everyone. I don't have much time to post more pics..but will try later today or tomorrow before we leave.
After the really bad screaming night things have been much better. Yesterday there was some anger around feeding times, but I think Mrs. Tang probably had feeding Hsin down to a science and we aren't "doing it right" so she gets a little mad. We think we have it figured out a little though...so it is getting better.
Last night Hsin fell asleep happy, woke up hungry at about 3am then slept until 9...so about 12 hours sleep. Her naps were crappy yesterday though so I think that helped tire her out. If we can get 12 hours of sleep out of her tomorrow on the plane we are GOLDEN! We aren't holidng our breath though.
We met another couple from Buffalo, NY at AIT yesterday. They had a little issue with the fingerprints that hopefully got cleared up. If it did, they will be on the same flight home as us and in business class with us. We really hope the make it. Having another couple with a crying baby would make us feel like we stood out less. Plus if we are going to be pretty much awake for the whole 15 hours, it would be some etertainment to have them to talk to. Their daughter is 9 months old and is from Ching Yi orphanage.
Today is our last full day here...thank goodness. Don't get me wrong, Taiwan is nice but 10 days is too long to be away from home!
We are going to head out to IKEA to kill some time. We are SO bored we will go anywhere with air conditioning.
Talk to you all soon...and even better...SEE you all soon back in the states.
Love you,
Heather, Paul and Hsin

Nearing the home stretch - hurray!! Hope everything works out with that couple from Buffalo, for both your sakes. It would be nice to have company (even if sharing misery) on the flight home. When you mentioned naps, it reminded me of a tip for when you get home - we had a heck of a time getting Ryan to sleep at night once we got home, so after about a week of no sleep at night, we finally decided to skip his daytime nap for a couple of days. He would be so exhausted by the end of the day, he started sleeping through the night. Just something you might want to try if you have trouble getting her switched over to the time. Have a great last day & a good trip home!
Yeah! I am so happy that she slept and you got some sleep too. LOL about your trip to IKEA. I totally get it. Hope you have a good flight home. I am looking forward to pictures of your little cutie in her own bed and play room.
Almost there!!! I am hoping you have a nice smooth flight home and that Hsin-Hua picks up a perfect sleep schedule ;)
Whew! I feel your exhaustion coming through. Glad to hear she let up a bit on the sleeping. It sounds like slowly but surely, things. just. might. be. getting. a. bit. better? Don't lose hope. You're this close to home and you will make it.
Can't wait to catch up w/you guys once you've settled in and are feeling half human again.
I hope your day goes well today (now morning for you!) and your flight goes well also. I am thinking of you guys :)
Love all the pictures. Safe travels home!
Hope yall are doing well! Sending hugs!
Blessings,
Tami

Hey Heather, I found your blog and going through your pictures brought back a lot of memories. I think the only difference is that Jay slept from 11pm to 9am every night but we stayed in taipei for about 10 days but it was muggy and rainy and so I wished we had gone home like after 5 days or so. Anyways you must be back now and dealing with jetlag.. for about 10 days we could barely sleep at night and it sucked big time and so on day 9 i put jay in the ergo an walked all around downtown in an attempt to keep him awake with only a 20 min nap and then he slowly got the hang of it. I cant wait to read more of your enteries.
