My Thoughts Are Many Miles Away...

That is a line from one of my favorite Simon and Garfunkel songs...and I thought it was fitting for this post.

At 9pm tonight in Philadelphia, it will be 9am tomorrow morning in Taiwan.
At about this time, Olivia Hsin-Hua's Taiwan Mother, our agency representative and Olivia Hsin-Hua will be meeting together before a judge for the initial adoption hearing.

My thoughts are with Olivia Hsin-Hua's Taiwan Mother during what must be one of the most difficult times she will ever face in her life. I pray she is at peace with her decision, and hope she will someday know how much we love her daughter, and how well we will provide for her all the things she wanted for her Hsin-Hua.

I wish I could be with her, to hold her hand, or to hug her, and to let her know that Hsin-Hua will be OK. That we will love her as our own, and will provide for her, and give her a good education, just as she wished.

We promise we will honor her in this way for the great gift she is giving us in our beautiful daughter. While Olivia Hsin-Hua will be our daughter, she will always be the daughter of her Taiwan Mother as well. We love her just as we love Olivia Hsin-Hua.

So, if you have some spare good wishes or prayers...please send them many miles away to Olivia Hsin-Hua's Taiwan Mother tonight. May she be at peace.

lot's of good wishes and hugs for her at this time. I can't imagine what that must feel like for her, and I do wish her peace in her decision, and I do hope that she will know and find comfort someday that the child that she gave birth to....you and Pauly have given the world to, and loved as your very own.

I am wishing you peace as well as I know this is stressful, and will be praying that you hear not a single peep from Taiwan.

I'm right with you in the anticipation and emotions, as our Hearing is on the 23rd. I go back and forth from hoping that our birth-mom sticks with her decision, to realizing how incredibly hard it must be for her.

I'll be looking for your First Ruling announcement! Hang in there!!!
